These two. My sister is expecting a baby boy in just about 10 weeks! We are all on pins and needles preparing for his arrival. The other night, the princess looked down my sisters shirt and when asked what she was doing she said "looking for the baby". My sister told her that he is not in her boobies and we all started laughing!
My life in one photo. My husband is building memories with our babies this summer every single chance he gets. The other week they all went fishing for the first time and although no fish were actually caught, they all had a wonderful time and I had some happy kids and husband.
This boy. This summer is just different. It really truly is different. My little guy is much more mature and even today as I was driving I kept thinking that my babies are not babies. Babies really don't keep. He is independent, he is driven, he is smart (so freaking smart) and he just wants to please us. My little boy is not little anymore!
He is a T-ball loving, Lego building, snack eating, passionate kid and I am so enjoying this summer with him. He has opinions of what to do and what to eat and is helping us cook and take care of the animals and is just amazing.
This princess. You guys, I need to record my conversations with the little one. It is a hoot to listen to her tell us about life and use big words in the correct context. I am constantly laughing at her. She is not all fun and games as the threenager years have totally hit in this home, but most of the time pure joy and happiness is brought out from her. She has a minimum of 6 meltdowns a day, she changes her outfits to some wild combinations at least 4 times a day and one of those will always be a swimming suit.
So far this summer has been busy, but at the same time, not busy at all. I spent a large majority of my first week off going through every single closet and room upstairs. I call it the home purge. We just have so much stuff that we do not use. I am preparing for a large garage sale/donation and will be continuously working on this. I am planning my sisters baby shower. More to come on this! We have spent a lot of time as a family and taken many drives. The "Lion King" type statue below was one of our fun finds during a little drive down memory lane.
However, the biggest thing we have done was take a little trip to Cancun last week. Before I left, I thought about scheduling old content, about having guest posts and about writing myself. Then I just realized, I needed to relax, to allow this blog to run itself and to step back for a week. It was a great, but I was ready to get back at it.
If you are wondering, we are ok, we will be ok. Things will get better, but if you feel inclined, sending a little prayer up for our family would be greatly welcomed.
