Our family is at a weird stage in our lives. With the husband working swing shifts and the kids and I doing nearly everything during the week without him, this mama needed some reprieve and help. I decided that it was time to start working on developing my kids independence and create a really simple, effortless snacking station.
My kids are little snack machines. From the second we get in the door they are asking for one snack or another. Mind you I have been on my feet teaching for 8 hours with no bathroom break usually. I just need a small moment to breathe and that is typically interrupted several times with snacking needs. It was time for this mom to call in some easy help and create a snacking station, featuring some easy to grab options.
My first stop was Walmart. I was looking for snacks that my kids would love and for the most part, did not have artificial flavors or coloring. Popcorn, applesauce pouches, some whole grain granola bars and my kids go to fruits were easy to grab. However, while browsing the cookie/cracker aisle looking for a sweet treat, I came across a demo on February 23rd, of Teddy Grahams new snack, TEDDY SOFT BAKES Filled Snacks. I was immediately excited to bring these home. What excited me even more was that there was a cash back offer on my ibotta app for these!
I was eager to get my snacking station going so I grabbed a couple bright colored bins, made one with the dry snacks and one for the wet snacks and placed them in our pantry at my children's level.
I decided to use bins on the shelves that were brightly colored so that I could tell my children to get in the green bins for a snack and not have them question where I was directing them too. I also like that they have handles for my kids to move on and off the shelf easier. My goal is to have them refill their snack station as they deplete snacks over time. That is a far off goal, but nonetheless, it is in the back of my mind.
I showed the kids the snacking station and immediately my son's hand went straight for those TEDDY SOFT BAKED Filled Snacks. He chose the vanilla flavor with the chocolate filling. Then he got one for his sister.
He was able to open the wrappers very easily and loved the fun bear shape! Both kids then started doing their own thing, enjoying a snack, while this exhausted mom had a moment to prep dinner and feed the dogs.
This bright-eyed little one immediately bit the head off her bear and exclaimed, "this is the best bear ever!" That was pretty much all I needed to hear, so I secretly snagged a TEDDY SOFT BAKED Filled Snack for myself. Oh, My, WOW! Muffin like soft texture, sinfully delicious creamy center and even a little fun to eat. I may have hidden a few of these for myself.
My oldest went to work reading some books on his tablet, while munching away and not once did either child come ask me for a snack the entire evening. They knew right where to go, I had told them their limit on snacks prior to showing them the station and they happily enjoyed a few snacks, some playtime and even ate all their dinner (rarity folks). I was able to cook, clean up a bit, relax on social media and even take a few uninterrupted minutes on the phone with a dog groomer. So basically I am sold on snacking stations and TEDDY SOFT BAKED Filled Snacks.
My effortless snacking station and these amazing TEDDY SOFT BAKED Filled Snacks are kid tested and mom approved for sure. I am so happy that I found them and hope that you create a little snacking station with these fun bears included too. Do not forget to grab the ibotta offer now!
